ABOUT LDIC

The Lehighton Downtown Initiative Committee (LDIC) was formed in the summer of 2007 with its goal to revitalize the downtown Lehighton business district and other areas within the borough.  We encourage business owners, civic organizations, and the people of Lehighton to help us in this endeavor. Proceeds raised through fundraising will be spent on capital improvements and community events within the borough of Lehighton.   

Our first goal is to spruce up the area parks.  To date, we have an engraved brick paver fund raiser to refurbish the walkways and an adopt-a-flower-garden program to make the parks more inviting.  Individuals and businesses could help by furnishing supplies or manpower to support these efforts.

Additionally, Lehighton has many other assets.  The riverfront area beckons major development.  Other neighborhood businesses have loyal customers.  LDIC encourages everyone in the Lehighton area to cooperate to create a more dynamic community.
